The Cummins Child Development Center is a “Miniature City for Kids”, is open from 6:30-6:00 and a state-of-the-art facility with secured entry to the building that uses password/pass codes for authorized entrance. The facility and grounds are monitored with a top-level security system that includes security camera surveillance inside and outside twenty four hours a day seven days a week for the safety of the children. Cummins Child Development Center is a 31,000 square feet facility that includes seventeen home bases. It has four infant rooms, four Toddler rooms, four Early Pre-school rooms, two Pre-school rooms, two Pre-Kindergarten rooms, a Kindergarten room, an educational enhancement room, two indoor common areas, four outdoor playground areas; three explore and learn areas, a computer area with a maximum capacity of 260 children. The facility is a supported by a back-up generator and is equipped with ventilation shut-off capabilities. Heated floors, ventilated changing tables, four storm shelter and a tenth of a mile outdoor track are among the many features of this facility.
The Cummins Child Development Center is committed to excellence in providing the best care and education for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. We are accredited by a national accreditation, NECPA (National Early Childhood Program Accreditation), focusing on health, safety and nutrition; Paths to Quality level 4, the highest level; state licensed with an impeccable compliance record and in compliance with fire marshal regulations. CCDC is also a Five Star facility that is environmentally committed to providing a safe facility for children.
The Cummins Child Development Center’s staff maintains updated training required by the state department, NECPA, Paths to Quality and Bright Horizons. Eighty-eight percent of the CCDC staff has their Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree or CDA, which is a Child Development Associate Credential.
